Have you ever wondered...

Why your child melts down over 'nothing'?

Why you lose your temper even when you promised yourself you wouldn't?

Why some days feel impossible before breakfast?

Why everyone else seems to find this easier?

You're not imagining it. And you're not failing.

There's usually something else going on.

Something about how brains work.

Something about energy and overwhelm.

Something no one ever explained.

This series is that explanation.

What Is This Series?

She Speaks Series 3 is a collection of fifteen short audio episodes - we call them 'She Snippets.' Each one is bewteen 3 to 17 minutes. Designed to fit into real life. Listen on the school run. While you fold washing. In the car before you go inside. Or gather with others and use them to start a conversation. This series is for parents navigating the hard bits - when brains work differently. Whether that's your child's diagnosis, your own undiagnosed brain, or just a feeling that things are harder than they 'should' be.

 What Will You Learn?

About energy: Why some days you (or your child) start with less. What 'running out of spoons' actually means. Why the shops feel like a war zone.

About brains: How ADHD shows up in parenting. Why executive function matters. What's happening when someone 'won't' focus (spoiler: it's usually 'can't').

About feelings: The difference between a tantrum and a meltdown. What to do when your child is overwhelmed. What to do when YOU'RE overwhelmed.

About support: Why asking for help feels so hard. Who to ask. What words to actually use.

Who Is This For?

- Parents of children with disability or different brains

- Parents who suspect they might have a different brain themselves

- Parents who feel like they're 'doing it wrong'

- Anyone who wants to understand behaviour - their child's AND their own

- Communities, playgroups, and support groups looking for discussion starters

 Our Promise

This series won't: Make you feel like you're failing at one more thing. Use complicated language. Pretend there are easy answers. Add to your to-do list.

This series will: Help you understand what's actually happening. Give you words for things you've felt but couldn't explain. Help you respond with more understanding and less guilt. Connect you with a community who gets it.

When you understand what's really going on - for your child AND for yourself - everything shifts. Not perfect. Just... better.

 Welcome to the village.
